THE SOIL Our Sancerre Rouge Marine comes from a single plot planted in 1962, the oldest on the estate. The soil is made up of red clay. VINIFICATION AND AGEING Maceration in stainless steel vats for 25 days, followed by 18 months' ageing in 600-litre Austrian oak barrel. TASTING A deep garnet-red colour. The bouquet is intense and open, with hints of black fruit and spices enveloped in mellow oak. The palate is fresh and fruity. The tannins are smooth, delicate and well-balanced. The fruit is concentrated and beautifully ripe. This cuvée is powerful and rich, with good intensity.
