Start of harvest

The harvest was a difficult one following record-breaking bad weather and exceptional mildew pressure. We chose to start on Monday 30 September with our caillotes at Chavignol and Verdigny.

A light ray of sunshine allows us to harvest with peace of mind. The grapes have a pleasant appearance and structure in the mouth that heralds a qualitative vintage.

First juices

After a long and delicate pressing, the first juices look interesting with a good sugar-acid balance.

Friday 04 October
La Côte des Monts Damnés

Under a foggy sky and gloomy weather, the harvest occurs in the Côte des Monts Damnés. Moisture makes manual harvesting more difficult than usual.

In order to harvest in optimal conditions it is sometimes necessary to work at night.

Monday 7th October
Our pinot noir

Harvest of our Sancerre Rouge on this Monday. Despite humid and cool conditions, the health condition of the grapes was very satisfactory, foreshadowing a very good 2024 vintage.

Tuesday 8th October
Our flint

Our Sancerre Silex was harvested on Tuesday. Fermentation is realized in 1600 and 750 litre amphora and in stainless steel tanks. We are already seeing some differences ...
